Winter Wonder Land Challenge - Task 3

Morning everyone, and Merry Christmas Eve! (If that's even a thing haha). Today I'm doing the DIY option in the new task. Unfortunately I was't able to post task 2 as I was unlucky with internet and hardly home (long story short).

Anyways, this DIY I found on Pinterest and absolutely love the idea! Because I don't have the supplies at the moment I'm going to be using the original photos I found and I'll leave the link.

This DIY is called the Mason Jar Prism Light/Candle

To make this beautiful DIY you will need a few materials including:
  • Tea light
  • Lighter
  • Mason jar
  • e3600 glue (or any glue rated for affixing to jars)
  • Ribbon or twine
  • Brushes
  • Glass elements to decorate (in this case it's round glass elements)

First, you need to glue the jar.
It is a good idea to use a well ventilated area. Dip brush in the glue and then apply onto jar. Glue in small patches working form the base of the lid all the way up.

Secondly, place your decorative elements onto the jar.
Add your glass elements onto the glued patch. Because some of the circles are larger than others, make sure to plan out your design. When the patch dries, move on to the next bit, slowly covering the jar.

Thirdly, add the finishing touches.
Remove the lid once your jar has completely dried. Tie some ribbon or twine around the top of your jar. Place a tea light in the jar and enjoy your brand new beautiful light!

I found this amazing idea on Pinterest and will leave the link here:

I got the photos from Stephanie Michelle on here:

Winter Wonderland Challenge - Task 1

Hi there! Thanks for stopping by. I've participated in a really fun Winter Wonderland Challenge and the first task to do this tag. I'm quite excited about it but it's summer in Australia! Aha but that doesn't matter because winter is still my favourite season.

Okay let's get on with the questions :)

The Questions:
1. What is your favourite winter drink? How do you make it? Why is it your favourite?
Okay, so my favourite winter drink would have to be simple creamy chocolate milk (warm). I simply get chocolate powder and most likely full cream milk. Sometimes I like to froth the milk first to make it a bit fluffy. It's my favourite because it taste really yummy but is so simple! :)

2. What is your favourite winter month?
So if I was in Norway it would be December all the way because thats the Christmas month! But I'm in Australia so July is my favourite because my best friend, and my mum and her siblings (she's a triplet) all have their birthdays in July. I don't know if this answer was confusing but basically because my mum's side of the family is in Norway we sometimes travel there for Christmas.

3. Do you get snow where you live? How much?
Where I live in Australia we get absolutely no snow! I really miss snow and I wish the seasons were the other way meaning so we could have a white Christmas! It never really feels like Christmas in Australia aha.

4. What is your favourite winter activity?
Again, if I was in Norway I would love making snow men and going bob sleighing. But in Australia we kind of just stay inside and watch a movie like a rainy day :)

5. What is the best thing about winter?
I love being cold because then you can snuggle up in blankets, watch movies and drink my creamy hot chocolate! Looking forward to winter here because summer is way too hot!

6. What is the worst thing about winter?
Well, in Australia it doesn't snow so it gets cold without snowing :( And it's much harder to get up in the morning haha.

7. Favourite winter-associated symbol (E.g; Father Christmas or a snowflake).
I call him Santa not father Christmas hehe. But my favourite would be a snowflake because they're so pretty and I love snow!

8. Tag one blogger to support you whilst you do the challenge/do it as well.
The person I tag is Candice from

Okay so that was the tag :) I really hope you liked this post and look forward to the next challenge topic.

Garnier Skin Naturals Moisture Match Shine Be Gone|| REVIEW!

Hi thanks for stopping by this blog post! Today I'm reviewing the Garner Skin Naturals Moisture Match Shine Be Gone Mattifying Face Cream. Wow that was a mouthful. I've been using this moisturiser for while and so far I quite like it. I've got the one with combination to oily skin.

On the back it states:

'Tailored texture: Mattifying fresh texture - oil-free and quick to absorb.
Tailored formular: Enriched with Green Tea extract, week known for its antioxidant properties, Sine Be Gone will leave your skin feeling beautifully smooth and mattified all day long. You can feel the difference.'

I really like the formula because it isn't sticky on my face and absorbs super quick. It hasn't made me break out which is fantastic because I find that a lot of products do. I use this product in the evening after I've washed my face with my everyday cleanser. It says you can use this during the day, however, I personally don't like to use moisturiser in the morning because it's very hot and humid in Australia at the moment.

The scent is quite pleasant. It isn't strong and doesn't linger on my face. It smells healthy if that makes any sense (not like salad haha). The packaging is great as it is small but lasts a VERY long time (It's a 50ml tube). I only use a pea size amount on my face because a little goes a long way.

I purchased mine from Target at approximately $8 but you can get this from most stores including Priceline, and chemists.

Overall, I recommend this product to you if you have oily to combination skin as well as sensitive skin like me.

I know this review was short and listed but I still hope you enjoyed reading it and hopefully I helped you a little bit.

I love reading your comments and checking out ALL of your blogs if you leave the link.

More and better posts soon!

NOTD~LACURA Beauty, Rose

Hi there! Thanks for stopping by my blog. Today I'm going to do a NOTD (Nail Of The Day). The nail polish I've chosen is from the LACURA Beauty line in the colour Rose. This is generally used as the pink base when doing a french manicure. However, I use it all the time on its own because it passes for school ( I go to a school with strict rules of no nail polish, and they pick me up on it all the time but they haven't said anything about this one).

This shade has a sheer pink tint to it, which gives my nails a clean and healthy look. It's a very simple look and can be pretty with a nail sticker such as the white flowers I used. I really love the consistency of this polish because it is neither thick or runny. It's a quite thin consistency that is definitely buildable if you wanted more pigmentation. I've used a topcoat to increase the staying power but on its own lasts generally at least a week which is great!

A friend of my mum's was very kind and gave this to me but you can purchase this at most Aldi stores. I'm going to be honest and say that at first I wasn't expecting much because I wasn't sure about Aldi's cosmetics. But I was pleasantly surprised at how amazing this product was!

I would absolutely recommend this if you're looking for a simple, elegant, clean look. It would also be great if you go to a school that is strict and doesn't allow nail polish. If a teacher were to specifically look at my nails I'm sure they would ask me to remove even this polish. But so far no one has actually pulled me up for it which is awesome!

I like the packaging as it is simple and sturdy. It comes with an average size brush which is perfect for application.

Now if you've read my previous posts you would know that I absolutely love the Essence nail polishes for their fast drying formula. This polish doesn't disappoint me as it dries just as fast and dries with a nice gloss. Even glossier if you use a top coat.

I can't really find any faults with this nail polish. If I had to really look for something it would be that when I apply it can sometimes but very rarely be the tinsiest bit streaky. It's nothing really noticeable and doesn't bother me at all. If you use three coats it completely covers it up.

Overall, I would rate this a 10 out of 10 because it really impressed me.

I would love to know your thoughts in the comments!

I really hope you enjoyed reading this post and if you would like to keep up to date on my future posts please follow via GFC and Bloglovin.

Have great day!

September Favourites!

Hello blogger friends! I haven't done a monthly favourites on this blog yet, so today I'm going to be showing you a few of my favourite products that I've used throughout September!

Garnier Skin Naturals - Pure Active 3 in 1!

I used this face wash every night and most mornings. You can use it as a face wash, face scrub and face mask. I've used the mask once and it worked quite well. However, for the most part I just use it as a face wash. The texture is kind of like a very soft and smooth clay. It feels great on my face as it really feels clean.

On back in says:
For "oily to combination skin that is prone to impurities, shine, visible pores and blackheads."

"Wash: enriched with Zinc, renowned for its oil-regulating properties and smithsonite extract, it intensely purifies and eliminates impurities.
Scrub: it contains Pumice Sone, a natural exfoliant, to eliminate dead skin cells and clear pores.
Mask: enriched with White Clay for its soothing and absorbing properties, it helps mattify the skin."

I really like this particular face wash because I have found that my normally pink complexion has evened out a little bit and I have been getting less pimples (although I still get those two every once in a while).

You can purchase this at most chemists as well as everyday shops such as Target, Priceline, Coles, etc. The price is approximately $9 - $10.

NIVEA Hand Cream

This is my all time favourite hand cream because it sinks into my skin fairly quickly and has a nice and clean smell. It smells healthy if that makes sense haha (not like salad if thats what you thought).

I have an entire review of this hand cream already if you wish to read that.

Maybelline Baby Lips

I really like the Baby Lips lip balm and always carry them with me. The one I have been using this month is Cherry Kiss in the colour range. It smells very sweet and fruity and has a very natural pink colour which does show on my lips. I really like it because it's not a lipstick but it still gives a nice colour.

It's moisturising on my lips however I have read a few reviews of people with very dry lips saying that it wasn't moisturising at all. If you have severely dry lips then I recommend a lip treatment and not so much Baby Lips. In saying that though, I really like Baby Lips because it keeps my lips soft and smooth. My lips are dry sometimes but not severely.

I usually purchase mine at Priceline for around $3.95.

Essence XXXL long lasting lipgloss

This is the Essence long lasting lip gloss in Baby doll's favourite. The colour in the photo isn't the colour in real life as the natural lighting I had was really weird today. the colour is a neutral pink with slight shimmer in it. I really like this lip gloss as it has a very sweet look to it on my face. I wouldn't say it was long lasting though, but hey, what does that matter when you pay $4.95.

I'm yet to be disappointed by an Essence product. When you walk past the stand it looks like a child's makeup. But the quality of the products which I have tried are actually quite good. I especially love their nail polishes! They dry so quick and are only around $3.75.

bareMinerals powder

My last favourite is the bareMinerals foundation powder. This I absolutely love this! It feels super light on my face and lately I've just been wearing the powder. It contains SPF 15. I'm in the shade medium beige.

I honestly do not know the price for this though because my aunty gave it to me before she flew back to Norway.

I don't have all that much to write about it except that it's amazing!

So those were my September favourites!
I really hope you enjoyed this post and would love hear feedback in the comments.

Even just a small comment would make my day. And I would be thrilled if you followed through GFC or Bloglovin. If you leave your links in the comment section I will make sure to check them out!!

New Photos: Wild Flowers!

New photos! For those who like the photography side of my blog, here are a couple of new wild flower photos. I tried out a different lens and it was a bit fiddly. I don't think they turned out too bad, not amazing but I'm still learning haha.

Kitchen Ideas - Interior Design

Hi there, thank you for stopping by my blog. Today I was browsing through some kitchen ideas as I am very interested in interior design and wanted to get some inspiration. I came across many amazing ideas and thought that I would share a couple with you. If you like interior design like me, or are looking to renovate, or just simply would like to read this post then I think you would be very interested in viewing some of these great kitchens. I'll leave the link to the website at the end! :)

I hope the pictures are clear because I want to provide you with the best content that I can!

Alright, first kitchen here I absolutely adore! It's very nice and modern but has a warm cosy wooden texture to it. Just perfect!

This next kitchen is just gorgeous! I do want to quickly say sorry for the image quality though, the photo was quite small so when I made it larger it got fuzzy. But you can still see the lovely contrast between the clean white benches and wooden floors, as well as the great stone counter edge.

I really like this next kitchen! The colours are welcoming and work very well together. I personally think this one is very modern yet homely. Stunning!

Ooh and this one is beautiful! Love the textures used and the colours. However, I would change the black splash slightly just in my opinion.

I thought this open kitchen area was stunning with the plantation.

Heres a very modern kitchen, nice bench space and nice stove top.

Last one! Very modern and sleek. Love the stone island with the dark cupboards. Very nice!

Okay so those were all the kitchen ideas in this post. There are PLENTY more on this website which I highly recommend you check out!

Let me know if you enjoy these kind of posts and leave suggestions in the comment section!

Thank you for reading, I really hope you enjoyed it and would love to read your comments. It truly makes my day, especially a follow! :)

Would You Rather Tag!

Hi everyone (or the one person reading this right now haha), today I'll be doing the Would You Rather Tag! I've been looking for a fun tag to do on my blog and found this one which looked interesting so here I am about to answer the questions!

Would you rather walk around all day with your skirt tucked in your underwear or be seen wearing a really see through dress?
I would definitely rather be seen wearing a very see through dress because you could wear a bikini underneath while at the beach or something. Underwear being tucked in your skirt would be way more embarrassing in my opinion haha.

Would you rather go to a party and not realise until the end of the night that you have lipstick on your teeth or that your fake lashes are coming unglued?
Most definitely the lipstick on my teeth. Firstly because there's no way I would be wearing fake eyelashes as I have this weird phobia of anything touching my eye. Secondly because it's not so uncommon to see a little lipstick on people's teeth than a really noticeable eyelash not the same as the other.

Would you rather forget to put mascara on one eye or forget blush on one side of you face?
For me personally, I would rather forget blush on one side because I get rosy cheeks anyway and it would pretty much balance out haha.

Would you rather wear lipstick/lip liner combo or frosty blue eyeshadow?
Lipstick/lipliner combo because you could always make it really subtle however blue eyeshadow is harder to dial down especially brown eyes and my skin tone. (Or maybe it's just my low level of skills in makeup haha).

Would you rather wear foundation that is two shades too light or go way overboard on bronzer?
This one is a bit harder because I wouldn't want to look ghostly pale but I would;t want to look orange. Although too much bronzer doesn't necessarily mean orange. But I would have to say foundation two shades too light. :)

Would you rather drink an entire bottle of ketchup or run into the guy who broke your heart on a bad hair day when your skin is breaking out?
There's no way I could drink a table spoon of ketchup on its own let alone an entire bottle. So even though the second option isn't ideal, I would rather do that than drink ketchup haha.

Would you rather be able to date any celeb you wanted or wake up with perfect red carpet-worthy hair?
Honestly, this question isn't all that difficult for me. I would most definitely, without a doubt want to wake up with perfect red carpet-worthy hair. I would prefer to date someone I actually know and feel comfortable with. :)

Would you rather your armpits smell musky or like delicious lasagna?
This is one of the more difficult questions for me answer because I would not want to smell musky OR like lasagna. But, if I had to choose one it would be the delicious lasagna. I mean at least it's delicious right? You could say that you were just in the kitchen while your mum was cooking or something. But I would hate for that to really happen haha.

Would you rather give up makeup or cell phone for one year?
I don't wear makeup all that often and feel a lot safer going out with my phone. So definitely give up makeup. :)

Would you rather run into a cute guy you like with food all in your grill or no makeup at all?
Okay, so first of all I had to look up what 'all in your grill' meant haha. But again, no makeup at all. I think that's more attractive than food around your mouth haha.

Okay! So those were all of the questions that were in this tag. I love reading/ watching tags to see what other people think so if you do this tag, or have done it already I would love to see what you though, so leave your links in the comments section! :)

Let me know what kind of posts you enjoy reading :)
